We have been awarded a three year HFSP Program Grant for "Establishing microfluidic cell-free systems for the rapid characterization of genetic networks" in collaboration with Richard Murray's laboratory at Caltech.

HFSP Program Grants support "innovative basic research into fundamental biological problems with emphasis placed on novel and interdisciplinary approaches that involve scientific exchanges across national and disciplinary boundaries." HFSP Program Grants are highly competitive with a success rate of ~3%.

SystemsX.ch approved an IPhD grant proposal in collaboration with Prof. Shore at the University of Geneva. The title of the proposal is "Comprehensive analysis of transcription factor - promoter interaction in vitro and in vivo" and will allow us to quantitatively investigate fundamental biophysical aspects of transcriptional regulation in the model organism S. cerevisiae.
